The private beta

SiteSignal is currently offered as a free private beta. Access is by invitation, and we may accept, pause or end beta accounts at our discretion.

Beta software may change, have bugs or be temporarily unavailable. Features may be added, changed or removed.

The beta is free. Pricing after the beta has not been finalized — we will tell beta users before any paid plan applies, and you will never be charged without agreeing to it first.

Building permit data

SiteSignal is built on publicly available municipal building permit information. That information comes from third parties and may be incomplete, delayed or inaccurate, and update timing varies by municipality.

A building permit signals potential construction activity — it is not a guaranteed job, contract or sale. You are responsible for qualifying projects and for how you approach any site, owner or builder.

Using the site responsibly

• Follow applicable laws, including privacy, trespass and site-safety rules, when visiting construction sites
• Don't misuse, copy, resell or scrape the service or its data
• Don't try to access accounts or systems that aren't yours
• Keep your beta login details private

Results

Any results shown on this site are real-world examples. Individual outcomes depend on your market, trade and sales effort, and will vary. We don't guarantee any particular number of leads, sales or revenue.

Our content

The SiteSignal name, website, design and software belong to us. Public permit data remains subject to the open data licences of the municipalities that publish it, including the Open Government Licence – Toronto.

No warranty and limitation of liability

The site and beta are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost business arising from your use of SiteSignal. Because the beta is free, our total liability to you is limited to CAD $100.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the site or beta after changes means you accept them.
