Scope and who is responsible

This policy covers the SiteSignal website and the beta signup form. The SiteSignal application used by invited beta testers is separate and will have its own privacy terms before it is opened to the public.

The founder of SiteSignal is responsible for how we handle personal information. For any privacy question or request, email hello@sitesignalapp.com.

What we collect

When you join the free beta, we collect what you enter in the form:

• Name and email address
• Phone number (optional)
• Company name (optional)
• Your trade and the city you work in
• Your consent to be contacted, and when you gave it

Like most websites, we and our hosting provider automatically process technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the site and to block repeated or automated form submissions. We do not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers at this time.

How we use it

• To review your beta request and contact you about access
• To send you product updates about SiteSignal — only because you agreed to it
• To understand which trades and cities are interested, so we can improve the product
• To keep the site secure and prevent spam

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

Who processes it for us

We use a few trusted service providers to run the site. They process data only on our behalf:

• Vercel — website hosting
• Supabase — secure storage of beta signups
• Resend — sends us an email notification with your signup details
• Google (Gmail) — our email inbox, where signup notifications and messages to hello@sitesignalapp.com are delivered
• ImprovMX — forwards emails sent to our sitesignalapp.com address to our inbox

Some of these providers store data outside Canada, including in the United States. Information stored there may be subject to the laws of that country.

How long we keep it

We keep beta signup information while you are an active beta user or customer, or while your beta request is being considered, because we need it to provide access and support.

When the information is no longer needed for a legitimate business purpose, we delete it, unless we are required by law to keep it longer.

You can ask us to delete your information at any time by emailing hello@sitesignalapp.com. We will honour valid requests, including removing related signup notification emails from our inbox. If you unsubscribe, we may keep your email address on a do-not-contact list so we don't email you again.

Your choices

• Withdraw your consent and stop receiving emails at any time — every product-update email includes an unsubscribe option, or you can reply "unsubscribe" or email us. We process unsubscribe requests within 10 business days.
• Ask what information we hold about you
• Ask us to correct or delete your information

Email hello@sitesignalapp.com. We'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Who the site is for

SiteSignal is a business tool for contractors and sales professionals. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and reputable providers to protect your information. No online service is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated to beta users by email.
